Immersion in water is a great way of reducing the stresses that pregnancy can place on the body. Many women suffer musculo-skeletal discomfort that can be relieved by the sense of weightlessness that aqua can give. Recent studies have shown that maintaining exercise can reduce or prevent the discomfort of back pain in pregnancy and aqua provides a low impact, safe way of doing this.
Bodybump Aqua is in its 8th year and is now running at Input Fitness in Frankston on a Wednesday evening at 7-8 pm.
$24 per session.
Even though there are some swimming segments within the class, swimming confidence is not required as the pool is shallow enough to stand in. We advise you to bring bathers, a towel, a water bottle and a smile. Do let me know if you are a non-swimmer!!
